Great Writing at the Lincoln Memorial

This past week we visited Washington, D.C. We toured several Smithsonians
(museums are a rarity in the South), dined on Ethiopian, Lebanese, and Indian cuisine (super-yum recommendations from VegDC), and loved our accommodations at Dupont Circle (thanks again to my in-laws for providing them!).

We walked to the Lincoln Memorial and viewed Lincoln's statue. I revisited the Gettysburg Address, a piece I memorized at Greenwood Christian Academy in the fifth (?) grade.
I'm still enamored with the cadence, and am still in awe of this line- "But in a larger sense, we cannot dedicate, we cannot consecrate, we cannot hallow this ground."
